Every year when school started, we were given this hand out.And this is what it had on it, below. Since Many on mylot are learning to write articles, and are trying to learn how to properly site their sources. I thought I would share my old Highschool Bibliography with you all. I edited out things that will not make sense for the mylot users. Just extra notes it had on it for class. - DNatureofDTrain--------------------
MLA BIBLIOGRAPHY FORMATMilton High SchoolLong Form 10/30/97 Rules:1. Double-space your Bibliography2. If there is an author, the author's last name comes first.3. Book, Magazine, and newspaper titles are underlined. (or Italicized.)4. Article or short-story titles are placed in quotation marks.5. Each major portion of the bibliography is followed by a period.6. Format must be followed exactly.7. Place bibliography on lined side of note card.8. Use back side for additional information such as call numbers, page numbers etc. On the Front of the Card: First line not idented. 2nd and all other lines indented 1/2" The code number in the upper right hand corner. Then on the back of the Card: Call number of (Fiche#) on the left hand upper left areaPage numbersDouble spaced below this both aligned left. When looking for bibliography information, find the following: Author*Article Title*Publication Title (including any subtitles)Editor*Translator*Publisher*City of publication*Date of publication (most recent if several are given)Page numbers if your are using a portion of the book. * is next to the ones that are not found in every source.-------------Here are some examples but I can not do Italics.. I left our Microfiche, CD-Roms and Miscellaneous Media.If anyone here wants to show us examples of How to Do Bibliographies for these. Please do, and any other type of media. I hope my Sharing this from an old Highschool Print out, will help mylotters who are trying to learn Bibliography's and citing sources as giving them a possible way of doing so. Take care,- Dana C. Yes, I have been a crash. But I was the Child.. and the car rearended us after running a stop light, it was a hit and run but I remember the light coming at us clearly....
