As has been mentioned elsewhere, I started using Linux last night. Mostly, I haven't found much of a difference between Linux (using a LiveCD, i.e. I boot the computer off the CD) and Windows, though I'm not able to print anything since the right driver didn't come with it (not that it really matters, my current printer isn't working right now anyways...), and I'm not sure about saving anything either, since I'm running off the CD.

But I like it! It's nice to feel free from "Redmond"...

it's suppose to be more secure as I remember the Linux users always seem to have immunity from hackers and booters... on yahoo .. they claim is the best system to use.. but I don't know about systems enough to say if I agree or not with their claims . - DNatureofDTrain

One major reason Linux would tend to be more secure is that it is a minority OS. And, most likely, there are enough differences between distros to thwart some threats.

I'm moving towards installing it, though I think I may try installing it on a USB stick, that way I have the option of not running Linux and automatically booting to Windows whenever I want to.
